Privacy Policy

Casebound — chaptered, bound, and in sync.

Last updated 22 September 2026

Casebound collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of its own. Nothing you do in the app is sent to the developer or to any third party.

What the app does with your files

Casebound converts audio files you choose into a single chaptered M4B audiobook, and plays it back. The files you select, the audiobooks it creates, and the details it reads from them — titles, authors, chapter names, cover artwork — are processed entirely on your own device.

The app only ever touches files you explicitly pick, or files it has created itself.

iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud, Casebound stores your finished audiobooks and your listening positions in your own iCloud account, so they appear on your other devices. This uses Apple's iCloud Drive and key-value storage.

That data belongs to you and lives in your iCloud account. The developer has no access to it and no ability to read it. Its handling is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, or turn iCloud off for Casebound, everything stays on the device and nothing syncs.

What is stored on your device

This is kept in the app's own private storage. Deleting the app removes it.

Data collection

None. Casebound does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It contains no analytics frameworks, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. It makes no network requests on its own behalf.

Children

Casebound is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
